Autism Symptom - Discover If Your Child May Have Autism From These 11 Symptoms Of Autism

Autism is present at birth, but often the symptoms of the condition may be hard to distinguish during early childhood. However, the symptoms of autism are usually showing up by the time the child is 3 years of age. Some of those symptoms are:

1. Substantial delays in nonverbal communication skills, such as avoiding making eye contact and facial expressions. Such as the child having no interest in playing games like peekaboo.

2. Shows no interest in making friends with children of the same age.

3. Delay in language, slow to speak, or inability to talk. It has been reported that as many as 50% of children with autism never learn to talk.

4. Does not react to their name and may seem at times to be deaf.

5. Stereotypical and repetitious language, the official name is echolalia. Individuals with autism often parrot what they hear or what has been said to them.

6. Absorption with specific subjects. Such as an older child could be obsessed by trains, certain cartoons or maybe special holidays.

7. Hypersensitivity to sound and extraordinarily sensitive to sensations. A child with autism can have unusual reactions to the way things may sound, taste, smell, look, or feel.

8. Highly inflexible, demands sameness and a need for routines. Such as a child with autism may have trouble adapting when there is a routine change at school.

9. Can excessively center attention on particular objects and also tends to lines things up.

10. Repetitive movements which can include hand flapping, rocking and hair twirling.

11. Savant abilities - This is very uncommon ability and only occurs in a small percentage of people who are diagnosed with autism, autistic individuals who have these unusual abilities are often gifted in art, music, math or other areas.

In looking over the list of 11 symptoms of autism, I see my boys had and still have many of these symptoms. My oldest boy is mute he still has no language and most likely never will. My youngest boy was highly inflexible when he was younger - he would go into a complete panic and start screaming on the way to school when we would have to change lanes. This doesn't happen anymore ( I thank God for that!). Both my boys did and still have extremely sensitive hearing. When they were younger they would start crying from experiencing pain from a noise that I could not hear. They both wear headphones over their ears now when they go out where there maybe the possibility of loud noises.

There are many other symptoms of autism I could have listed but I felt these 11 symptoms were a good indication in helping you determine whether your child could possibly be autistic. If you feel that your child exhibits some of these traits you may want to make an appointment with your pediatrician. The severity of symptoms of autism can vary greatly between children, however, with treatment and early intervention, many children can experience progress in many of these areas.

Marriage Missing its Spark?

If the fires of passion in your marriage have been reduced nearly to embers, then you are not alone. One of the most common problems that can damage a marriage is the loss of sparkor spice, or whatever you like to call it. You have already begun to make more of an effort by reading this article; now dont just think about how nice it would be to do some of these things with your spousethe only way for this to happen is for you to take action!

Have you ever noticed how a change of venue can be very exciting? Thats rightjust being together in a place thats not your bedroom can have an almost magical effect. Use this strange phenomenon to your advantage. Get yourselves a nice hotel room on a Saturday night. First have dinner, and then go for a swim in the hotel pool. Be playful and flirty with your spouse. Dont put any pressure on them; just be affectionate and playful throughout the evening together and let things happen naturally. A hand on their thigh, a whisper in their ear or a kiss on the neck are all great for reminding your partner what's waiting for them. Now, go up to your room and let the strange surroundings take effect.

Try reading your spouse an erotic bedtime story. Let it be spontaneous. Dont let them know its a sexy story before you begin, maybe even disguise the book with a different cover. This can be an easy way to get your spouse to try something new. If they hear it in the story, then it might be their idea to try it. Most people of either sex find erotic stories to be very arousing.

Bring a video camera into the bedroom. Be careful, but have fun. Actually its the element of danger and the sense of voyeurism that makes this exciting.

Buy a sexy little costume to surprise your spouse with. Ladies, men always have and always will love the sexy French maid outfit. Men, never let your wives see you in a dingy pair of tighty-whities.

Write notes to your spouse. Hide a romantic message in a briefcase or handbag. In fact, its little romantic gestures that help lay the groundwork for romance building. Let your partner know that they excite you. They will be excited knowing that youre excited. Send flowers for no special occasion, just to delight the love of your life.

The key is just making a small effort. Changing things up for excitement, and making little romantic gestures. When your spouse sees you making an effort to bring back the passion, they will make one right along with you.
